Creating Change & Igniting a Sense of Purpose
At Honaunau Farm we aspire to live "full spectrum", weaving our practical day to day engagement with a higher spiritual perspective.
Regenerative living is one of our guiding principals which for us means going beyond sustainability and actively taking steps to restore the health and wellbeing of all aspects of life. Collaboration is a key aspect of regenerative living creating many opportunities to harmonize with each other and nature. Inspiration is what gives us the energy we need to fulfill our purpose and sustain our health and wellbeing. Based on this integrative approach, we share our offerings and strive toward fulfilling our higher purpose. The farm is an ongoing opportunity for us to learn, grow, evolve and "walk a spiritual path with practical feet".
A great quote from Rumi further illuminates the necessity of personal growth as an integral part of doing worldly work. 'Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.' -Rumi
regenerative
The term regenerative describes processes that restore, renew or revitalize their own sources of energy and materials, creating thriving systems that integrate the needs of society with the integrity of nature. At Honaunau Farm we strive to offer wholistic experiences that encourage a greater awareness of all aspects of life. On the path of walking with practical feet, we are taking steps towards resource conservation and regeneration wherever we can including...
Sustainable and organic production of a large portion of our food and medicinal supply
Soil regeneration with animal rotation and manures
Use of recycled materials for all facets of what we do whenever possible
Finding innovative ways to reuse and re-purpose existing materials
Reducing our consumption and being conscious about what we buy
Rainwater catchment and minimizing our use of water
Partial solar power and hot water systems
Low energy lighting with conscious effort to conserve wherever possible
Use of non-toxic cleaning products
Educating and inspiring others
On the spiritual path, we advocate for the practice of self inquiry and expanded awareness, regular exercise, daily meditation and gratitude for life. Practices we love include:
Time in Nature

At Honaunau Farm we believe in collaboration over competition. It creates more meaningful relationships, inspires creativity and can help every person shine with the opportunity to bring their gifts to an endeavor. A basic introductory workshop with Marshall Rosenburg, the founder of this internationally acclaimed work, can be found on youtube.
Evolutionary Astrology - Evolutionary astrology is another tool to help bring awareness to the energies that are at play in our lives. Astrology with an evolutionary focus, can provide us with a map for our life. it can help shed light on our greatest potential and the challenges that we must overcome to fully embody our potential. It can be a practical, day to day, contemplative tool that guides us towards deeper insight and a more aware state of being. The Gene Keys are a transformational astrology tool we like to explore on the farm.
inspirational
At Honaunau Farm we believe in creating change by being for something rather than against something. We also aim to inspire by demonstrating ways to live with new choices that engage our self empowerment and personal evolution. As part of our inspiration, we can look to the wisdom offered from our host culture...
Aloha - to have love, compassion and respect (for more on the many meanings of Aloha click here)
Laulima - to cooperate
Malama aina - to care for the land
Kuleana - to take responsibility
Pono - to make right
We are still learning more every day how to truly embody this wisdom and are so grateful to live in a place where the Aloha spirit provides a foundation for our growth.
